For those of you who were unable to watch live this morning, here is the link to the recorded service. The sound levels are not great on this raw footage, so please bear with it. They improve a bit into it. Later, when my dear, over-worked husband has a bit of time to work on the sound, I will repost it. But for those who don’t want to wait, here it is on Vimeo:
Lexi’s Memorial Service at St. Luke UMC
Dear Mrs. Lexi’s Mom,
I just finished watching the service with my mom. I could tell she was sad so I jumped up on her lap and saw what she was watching. It was very beautiful and your eulogy was perfect. Mom was giving me kisses and pets the whole time. She said she had to make up for what you couldn’t do with Lexi anymore.
I was really happy when Mr. Lexi’s Dad mentioned her blog/blog friends.
At the end, when the man played Over the Rainbow, Mom cried a lot.
Thank you for sharing this with us. I’m sorry I didn’t think to write anything for you to read.
Love and *ear licks*

Little Noodle, I am glad you were there for your Mom when she watched the service. Don’t worry about not sending anything to read. You and your Mom have been wonderful to and for us, and that’s what counts. Oh, and I cried a lot too when the man started playing Lexi’s song at the end. Love and ear scratches to Lexi’s Guy – Mrs. Lexi’s Mom

Such a tender, loving tribute. Thank you for allowing us to share watching this video. Very touching, and while it’s sad it’s very heartwarming to see what a wonderful life Lexi lived. 💗

There was so much more to tell. She did more things in her 13 years than many people do in a their full life-time. I’m glad the service touched you, and our fellow therapy dog, Sam.

I wish I’d gotten to know her sooner in the blog world, Amy. She seemed like quite the ambassador for her church, the hospital, and everyone who met her. Hugs to you and yours. ღ

Isn’t it amazing how people all over the world can – and did – join us for this last tribute to our girl? It means a lot.

What a touching and beautiful ceremony. I enjoyed the talk of…I guess it was Jeff. Very moving. Bill and I both sat her and watched the ceremony…sniffling and smiling at the thought of Lexi doggy dancing. This ceremony will instill fond memories of Lexi in our minds forever.
Big hugs,
Jean

Yes, it was Jeff. Later I found out he hadn’t prepared what he said – which is so unlike him – he just spoke from the heart, and I think it was perfect. Ah the doggie dancing. 🙂 You saw some of it on Lexi’s post to Noodle on Valentine’s Day. If you missed it, you can watch it here: https://lexitheschnauzer.wordpress.com/2016/02/14/our-valiversary/

He did a wonderful job…you could tell it was from the heart. I’ll bet you two were beat after such an emotionally draining ceremony.

We were, but especially Jeff who was running sound for a band Friday night and didn’t get home until 2 a.m., then had to go back out Saturday night to do the same thing. He’s still dragging.

Thanks for posting! I only saw bits and pieces of it because my computer wasn’t working. I can’t wait to hear what will be said about the world’s most precious Schnauzer.
