MS Awareness Month

One of my blogging friends posted this. She has MS, and is an amazing young woman. Also, if you don’t already know her English Bulldog, Nugget, I highly recommend you stop by for a visit.

  1. Since Colorado has one of the highest incidences of MS diagnosis’ and because my sister-in-law has it, we try to keep up with the latest news. Thank you for shedding a light on this dreadful and disabling disease. Knowledge is critical especially as this illness affects everyone around-not just the patient. BTW, that was great info and I’ve left a comment at Nuggets Drooling too. Education is the first step toward coping with this disease.

  2. Amy when I was immobile back in 1999 & ended up in a wheelchair that was one of the 1st things I was tested for! My Doctor was sure I had MS.
I did not have it & after 2 1/2 years I was finally diagnosed.
What the Specialists told me is that my 3 illnesses when active together mimic MS. Very very very scary I can tell you.
I am not as brave as your friend. I just do what I can to stay upright & I admire people with MS who somehow manage to make their lives livable!!!

  3. I’m sorry to hear about Helena. Sneaky and unexpected are perfect words to describe MS. I often call it a cruel disease for the pain it puts me through. The fact that there is no cure is another hurdle to live with.

Thank you Amy for reposting this for me it means a lot:)
