First my exciting news…Mom took me to work today! I don’t know if I got my job back or if she just felt sorry that I have been home alone this week. Riley has been gone with Andrew to I-don’t-know-where, so two whole days while Mom and Dad were at work. I want you to know I was a very, very good dog today. I only pottied outside. I greeted everyone with wiggles and a few licks.
I dug a hole in the grass that was planted last fall. Mom had to fix it. It was just a small hole, so I don’t know what the problem was.
It was a busy day, so towards the end of the day I laid in the hallway outside of Mom’s office to ensure I got belly rubs from everyone. I didn’t want anyone to feel left out. Everyone said I was beautiful and they loved my brindle color. One person said she has a Siamese cat named Lucy and another lady said she has a King Charles Spaniel named Lucy. It was a Lucy kind of day! Exactly at 4:30 I stood up and told Mom it was time to go home. She looked at me kind of weird and said the spirit of Lexi must be resting on me. I really don’t know what that meant, or why I suddenly sensed it was time to go home. It just felt right.
Now, I want to tell you about the dog Mom groomed last Friday. Her name is Sophie and she is supposed to be a shih Tzu. Mom thinks she is a Shih Tzu-Maltese cross. The first and last time Mom groomed Sophie was January of 2015. She was an extremely matted mess then, and was again this time, too. Mom de-matted her and cut her hair with the scissors. It took Mom three hours.
I am going to let my secretary Mom finish up now so she can go make doggie cookies. I might even save some for Riley.
Oh, and I was dog tired last night after my hard day of work at the church.
Love and Wiggles, Lucy
Hello Dennis. I think Mom spent too much time with that dog, but she never asks my opinion on such things.

Thank you, Ms. Monika, from both of us. (It feels good to be touching my Mom and/or Dad.)

Awww, Lucy…love seeing you nap on your mum’s lap. Ministering is hard work sometimes and a gorgeous girl like you needs her beauty rest. Tell your mum she does pawsome work on little matted fluff balls.

Of course Angel Lexi is helping you, L – not just to get your mom to go home on time, but also to be a good girl at work. Those are big paws-boots to fill, so she has to stay by your side to help.
Love and licks,

Yes, it’s true, I was very good at work. And thanks, *blush*. Maybe Mom should do a contest showing ungroomed dogs vs groomed dogs and see if people can match them up!

Hi Mia! Thanks, *blush*
No, no one saw it but Mom, and she just tried to fix it. I didn’t even get scolded. It was a very small hole, really! I will ask Mom to take more pictures of me for you to see. *smiles and wags and wiggles* lucy

We don’t ask those kind of questions. We try not to antagonize paying customers (that’s what Mom told me).~Lucy

I love being the greeter! Mom said the people told her she could just shave Sophie if she needed to, but my Mom was determined!

Dogs need a job – and you, as greeter, have the best one. (No need to continue practicing those water well digging skills – you’ve got an upgraded employment worthy of you!)
(Whew only 3 hrs to de-mat – that’s pretty fast. Nothing worse than matting – on mixed wonder dog or pure breed)

What a great day you had Lucy! Greeting folk can be so much fun…I love peeps. Sophie looks fantastic….the poor girl was a terrible mess before your mom worked on her. Good going Amy. Wonder why her mom waited so long to get her furs groomed?

Hi Lucy!!! We love seeing photos of you 🙂 We think you are so beautiful 🙂 I hope no one made a big deal about the hole. Humans always over exaggerate things!

You have your job back, and you showed your mom you know what time it is. You are so beautiful. Your mom made a great job with that white dog, difficult to believe that it is the same dog.
