My New Sweater

Mom took me to the smart pet place and I tried on lots of clothes. She finally decided on this sweater to keep me warm this winter. I think I look quite pretty in it. I got to wear it  for the first time today because it was 32 degrees (that’s 0 degrees centigrade, says Mom) cold out this morning.

Here comes Xena. We are getting along great now. We are playing all the time. She makes ahrahrahr noises at me and I make them back at her while we play bitey face. Sometimes we play chase, too. It’s a modified bully breed kind of playing. I know now I have to be gentle with her, because 1. She is not a bully breed and 1. She is still a baby and 1. I don’t want to get into any more trouble. And besides, now I have clothes, just like her.

  2. You were the incrible Hulk dog. That would be cool to see on video. My angel brother doggy had lots of sweaters. He was pRt shepherd and had a really deep chest also so they were tight around his chest and baggy down lower. But he liked to wear them, especially as he got older. Luv Patzy

  3. BOL! I wonder if boy woofs like chesty as much as boy peeps. I only have the one sweater, and I’ve only worn it once in the dog lot when it was cold. So we’ll have to see. ~Lucy

  4. Cute sweater Lucy! I have troubles finding coats and sweaters because my chest is so big and my shoulders are so wide. Do you ever run into that problem? I can’t wear jackets with velcro in the front because as soon as I start running, I (literally) BURST out of them and they fall off. I lost a really nice winter jacket in the forest one. My humom wasn’t very pleased but she knew it wasn’t my fault. I’m just really chesty!

    OMD Lucy – so lovely to meet you… gotta confess, you are my kinda gal. My angel Jade had some bully breed in her – English Staffy to be precise (the rest was a bit of a guestimate, but mainly Rhodesian Ridgeback). I crocheted her a back wrap when she got older – and she loved her sari…

  26. That’s a pretty sweater. Abby has a pretty long coat (we think she is Lab and flat coated retriever mix) so she just wears her glow in the dark super hero cape when she walks early in the morning or after dark.
